Our CHALLENGES

Not all children have access to technology.

Kids with older (or no) devices at home have limited access to knowledge and limited ability to connect with others.  Some have devices but have no stable internet access.  They are not gaining experience with technology like others their age.

During the pandemic, not having devices also limited some children's ability to learn virtually.  Many may have had to share devices with parents or siblings.  Some devices may have been older and had cracked screens... or worse.

Not all children can enjoy events like book fairs.

Do you remember when the Book Fair came to your school?  What excited you more - posters and pencils and other cool gadgets?  Or the books themselves?  Now imagine that the Book Fair is coming and you are not able to afford to spend any money.   How do you feel?  Disappointment?  Embarrassment?  Sadness?

Book fairs generate excitement for reading and opportunities for students to build small home libraries.  Reading at home can be a family event benefitting multiple children.  Not participating in book fairs can limit these opportunities.

Not all classrooms are supplied adequately for students

Teachers of all grades in schools of all sizes have to go into their own pockets to purchase necessities for the classroom - sometimes quite often.   This can range from a few dollars to purchase decorations or snacks for a holiday party to several hundred dollars in a school year to purchase supplies that are needed by every student (notebooks, pencils, sanitizing wipes, and more).

Teachers will do this without hesitation for their students.

Our solutions

RyzenUp helps students and teachers facing these challenges:

  • We collect used devices and repair and upgrade them to make them usable, then donate them to children who do not have technology at home.
  • We collect monetary donations, then purchase and donate book fair gift cards to schools to distribute to students in need so that they can purchase a book or two and experience the book fair along with their friends.
  • We collect monetary donations, then purchase and donate gift cards to schools to distribute to teachers known for going into their own pockets to purchase classroom materials and supplies.

Your donations can have an unbelievable impact!
